TAG Heuer presents the ‘Connected Caliber E4 Malbon Golf Edition’ based on collaboration with Malbon Golf. Of course, the real killing point is different. This is a cute watch face featuring Malbon Golf’s mascot ‘Bucket’. The new bucket catches your eye every now and then, and you can’t help but notice it. As I look at it, a part of my heart feels numb. Instead of the subtle Malbon logo, the bucket’s hat features the replica TAG Heuer shield logo. For reference, Malbon Golf is a lifestyle golf wear brand founded by Stephen Malbon and Erica Malbon in 2017. The case of the Malbon Golf Edition is not much different from the existing 45mm model, except for Malbon’s unique color points. The middle case and case back are made of black DLC-coated titanium, and the bezel is made of ceramic. The number 18 engraved on the bezel surface refers to 18 holes, which is the standard for golf courses. The case back is equipped with sensors used for various functions, including a heart rate monitor, compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, and barometer. Water resistance is 50m.
The touch screen corresponding to the dial is a 1.39-inch AMOLED display (454×454 pixels). The process runs on Qualcomm® Snapdragon Wear™ 4100+. As before, it supports a variety of useful functions in daily life based on various dedicated apps such as sports, fitness, and wellness. The key is, of course, the dedicated golf app. First, we support accurate, up-to-date maps in 3D (some in 2D) for more than 40,000 courses around the world, including all CCs in Korea. During a match, it automatically tracks every shot and records your score, as well as calculates the distance to the hole and even recommends appropriate clubs by analyzing previously recorded shots. Using the smartphone app, you can also check the scores between players in real time.
The Connected Caliber E4 Malbon Golf Edition features a basic strap made of fluorescent yellow rubber with green leather and an additional, more subdued black rubber band. Each strap can be easily replaced without any tools through its unique quick change system. The product price including the special package is 3.55 million won.
